MY DRAMA STUDIES

With regard to my Drama studies, you may be interested to know that I study Drama, all the year round, during Term Time of course! I do not know, if there is anybody out there on the Internet, who also studies, at The College of Adult Education in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, but I am going to set up, a Web link, for the College, because for the past five years, I have gained a lot, where my acting achievements, are concerned, and I really think, that they more, than deserve a Web link, and for any prospective students, I can fully recommend, the Old Hall Street Website, because it gives a list of all the available courses, on offer. There is no facility, for enrolling online, at the moment, anyway, but the important thing is, the College, where I do my Drama course, has got a Website!

So, for any prospective Old Hall Street students, out there, the Web link, for Old Hall Street, is:

Wolverhampton Adult Education Service - 2004-05 - Web Site

At a later date, I fully intend to set up, more educational links to promote, the City of Wolverhampton, where I used to do, a Performing Arts course, which will eventually, incorporate the Library, the University, the Art Gallery and most recently, the Grand Theatre!

ABOUT MARIE BIRCH

I have set up a Website, which basically, informs you, all about, the Woman, of the moment! Marie Birch, herself! Well, it is a Website, which is dedicated, to my acting and writing Vocations, and it basically, informs you, all about, how I got, to where I am, today! But I will leave you, to make your own judgement, about that!

And, if you would like, to find out, all about me, then please go to:

I’M SORRY I’LL READ THAT AGAIN

I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again, was a BBC Radio Two Comedy Show, which consisted of the acting and writing talents of Graeme Garden, Bill Oddie, Tim Brooke Taylor, John "Otto" Cleese. And on I’m Sorry I’ll Read That Again, I considered my favourite characters, to be: Arnold Lord

Totteridge, who was played by Graeme Garden, and his main quote, is to date: "My name is Lord Totteridge and I've written a book, you see! How dew you dew, and I am the dynamic new director of Radio Dew, dew you dew!". And please do not forget, Lady Constance, who was played by Tim Brooke Taylor! And then, there was always, the Prune Play Of The Week! And, one of our particular favourite Prune Plays of The Week, was: The 3.17 To Cleethorpes, which was a clever spoof of the James Bond film: From Russia With Love and the Agatha Christie Book and Television Film: The 5.15 Train To Paddington? I think, that was what it was called, anyway! I will have to research, that one a bit more carefully! But James Bond, had actually, been called: Cliffhanger Ending, and M, had actually, been called: Twiggy, who had kindly insisted, when had he sent, Ending, out of his Office: "We will never forget you! Good Luck with your mission!". And then, for no apparent reason, he had suddenly, turned on him, and he had stated: "Who the Hell are you?! Get out of my Office!".

And of course, there was a particular sketch, which is a real favourite, and that is the Inward Bound sketch! Bill Oddie plays the part of Brigadier Mackintosh, who informs all the boys on his Inward Bound course, which was taken, at the Ruskdale Centre, who are aiming to take their Duke of Edinburgh's Award. And the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, which is all about enterprise and initiative, is usually awarded to men and women, who usually do rock climbing! And Brigadier Mackintosh goes on to inform the boys, that during their time on the Inward Bound course: "There will be no drinking, no smoking, and no contact, with the opposite sex, whatsoever! What we want to create here, is a perfectly normal atmosphere! Any problems, you can come to me!". Brigadier Mackintosh also goes on, to inform the new intake: "Only the other day, I had a brief talk, with what seemed to me, to be a simple uncomplicated kind of lad, who informed me, that he was the son of a French Nymphomaniac, who had had an affair with a white man, and had married a drunken homosexual! Now this is what I wanted to hear!". As far as I am concerned, that is Classic British humour, at its best! Who can beat it?!

I will definitely cover, some more of our favourite quotes from: "I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again, at a later date, but the website, which is not created by me of course, will tell you a little bit more about the show, than I can, anyway.

So, for any Fans, of: I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again, the Web Reference, is:

I,M SORRY I'LL READ THAT AGAIN

And, Bill Oddie’s Recording, of: I Can’t Get Through, has been played, on: The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show, at the BBC Radio 6 Music Station, on Saturday the 27th of February 2010.

MARIE BIRCH’S UNOFFICIAL THE MEN FROM THE MINISTRY WEBSITE

For those of you, who are interested, in The Men From The Ministry Radio Series, I have redefined the Unofficial Website, and more details will be added via this site, at a later date!

Then please go to:

HOLLY: OUR FIRST CAT

As we had acquired a Cat, called Holly (it was just a coincidence, that she was called Holly, at the time, and it had absolutely nothing to do, with the Holly, on Red Dwarf, whatsoever! And we had discovered, that she was found, during Christmas 1996, in a Factory, and she was lying next to a Boiler, if you please! And, we sometimes call her Beelzebubbles! Because of her being of Feral Blood, she did tend, to have the Devil, in her, somewhat!) We had also discovered, at an Open House Garden Party, that our Local Cats Protection League Aldridge and Brownhills Branch held, during the Summer of 1998, that there was another Stray Cat, found during Christmas 1996, and this particular Cat, in question, had also, been taken in, by our Local Cats Protection Aldridge and Brownhills Branch. And, this particular Cat, in question, was called Mistletoe, only the woman who adopted this particular Cat, in question, did not, like the name: Mistletoe. And in the end, she had changed it to Holly, and this meant, that there was two of them, who shared the same name!

Unfortunately however, our beloved Cat Holly is no longer with us, having passed away, during September 1999. During October 1999, we had acquired, a fairly young Black and White Cat, called: Jess, from the same Branch, and she is a far more Mischievous Character, than Holly ever was! And just like Holly, we have also Christened her, with the additional name: Beelzebubbles!

But as we have been, ever so grateful to The Cats Protection League, courtesy of our Local Cats Protection League Aldridge and Brownhills branch, especially due to the support, that was offered to us, when Holly passed away, at the time. And for the advice and support, in acquiring, our new Cat: Jess, the Link for The Cats Protection League (this is the Headquarters of The Cats Protection League, and even though, our Local Cats Protection League Aldridge and Brownhills Branch, does offer a quarterly Newsletter, there is no provision for a Website Facility!), still stands!

So, for all of you Cat lovers out there, here is the Web link, for The Cats Protection League Headquarters!

GALLOWAY WILDLIFE CONSERVATION PARK: KIRKCUDBRIGHT

To continue, with our support, for conservation interests, where these creatures are concerned, during our Spring holidays during 1997 and 1999, my husband and I, paid a visit to Galloway Wildlife Conservation Park: Kirkcudbright, at Lochfergus Plantation, just outside Kirkcudbright, near the town of Dumfries, Kirkcudbrightshire, in the Scottish region of Dumfries and Galloway, which specializes in looking after the Scottish Wildcat and has other various protected species, in its care, including the rarefied species of Capuchin Monkeys.

So, to find out all about Wildlife Park Kirkcudbright, plus a short feature on my favourite Televisual Pussy Cats, then please go to:

INTERNET FICTION

I have found, that I have picked up a rather addictive habit of downloading fiction off the Internet, and there is a newsgroup, that is really excellent for this purpose. On this particular newsgroup, the fiction that is sent in, every day, one could never aspire to reading in a lifetime, but I do intend to read whatever I can, and whenever I can. The fiction that is sent in to the newsgroup ranges from contemporary fiction, Science-Fiction, Fan Fiction and Classic British Comedy Fiction.

Groups can no longer, be lined to my main Index Website! (Look into this, at a later date! Marie Birch)

KEVIN BLAKE

I have set up a Web Link, for a Former: World Wide Web Contact of mine, Kevin Blake, who had been, a great help to me, from November 1996 to the Spring of 1999, with regard, to displaying, my continuous Red Dwarf Fan Fiction, plus various: Red Dwarf related Series VII reviews, and my Captain Butler reviews, had been concerned, at the time! And Kevin, had also been, kind enough, to display a Web Page, which had been (and still is!), basically, all about me!

Unfortunately however, the Puzlebox Kev Blake’s Homepage, and the Puzlebox Red Dwarf/X Files/Toons, and The Puzlebox Simpsons Websites, no longer exist, because Kevin could no longer devote the time to them, once he left School for College and University, where he took his A levels, and I think he went on to do an advanced course in Computer Aided Design, but more on that, in a moment! Kevin did his best to keep his Puzlebox Hobbies Website, going, in the meantime, but he just wasn't able to acquire the necessary Web space to keep those sites going, once he changed his Internet Service Provider, and especially after he left Bohunt Community School, who were very generous, where providing web space was concerned, for his Hobbies websites, at the time, and his College at Goldaming in Surrey, didn't have an Internet Centre. And even though, Kevin's University offered him a state of the art Internet Centre, it only provided him with internet access and an email address. And even though, he was given some free web space, it was only available for his course work, and it was definitely not available, for his outside interests, which was a terrible blow for Kevin, and a really great loss, as far as his Hobbies Websites, were concerned! But I really do feel, that I owe Kevin a great debt, anyhow! And you can still find out, all about Kevin, where his general interests are concerned, which includes a Photo Gallery, and details of his previous School and College, etcetera.

And Kevin, had set up his own business with some friends, during the Spring of the year 2000, which was one of the main reasons, why he didn't have the time to devote to his main Puzlebox Hobbies Website, anymore. I was also aware, that Kevin had got a small business, where he constructed computers, but I am not sure whether, his new business is devoted, to that, as well. And, Kevin had informed me, that as part of his G.C.S.E course work, he had worked for a company in London, where he did some more advanced training, where his Computer Aided Design skills were concerned, and I have seen a sample of Kevin's skills, via his graphics over the years, and some of them, are still on his Puzlebox Hobbies Website, and the graphic, in question is the swivelling Puzzlebox which keeps on turning around, plus images of himself and various other very clever designs. However, Kevin has kindly informed me, quite recently, that his business, Puzlebox Productions (recently re-named Puzzlebox Productions) is a Computer Services Website. Kevin designs and implements Websites, as well as designing company-specific and shareware software. The portfolio section of the Website is a place to view the sort of work, that Kevin has been involved in.

But if you want to know more, about Puzlebox Productions in general, then please go to:

Puzzlebox Design

And once again, I have also kept the option open, where sending my work to Kevin was concerned, should Kevin ever decide to get his Puzlebox Kev Blake’s Homepage, and the Puzlebox Red Dwarf/X Files/Toons, and The Puzlebox Simpsons Websites, up and running, again, one day. But Kevin has stated via his email correspondence, to me last Spring, via my setting up the links for his new Websites for him, that is probably very highly unlikely, due to his business commitments, these days! But he also stated, that he will get back to me, on that, if there is a remote possibility of that happening again! And so far, Kevin hasn't got back to me, where that is concerned, anyhow. But again, we will just have to wait and see, exactly what happens, where that is concerned, because when it actually comes down to it, at the end of the day, that is all, that you can do, isn't it?!

THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF THE BRITISH MONARCHY

To Celebrate, Her Majesty The Queen's Golden Jubilee, during 2002, I had decided, to set up, a Web Link, to: The British Monarchy Website! It is quite a very informative Website, which has actually been approved by Her Majesty The Queen: Queen Elizabeth The II, herself! The British Monarchy Website, includes the speeches that Her Majesty The Queen, has made, over the years, including the speech, she had made, the week, before Diana The Princess of Wales funeral. The British Monarchy Website contains all of the History of our previous British Kings and Queens, right up to the present day. And the British Monarchy Website, has also got, some quite informative details about Her Majesty The Queen's commitment to the Commonwealth, since 1952. But for anybody, who is interested in The British Monarchy website, then please go to:

The Official Web Site of The British Monarchy

Unfortunately however, the Web Link to The Official Web Site Of The British Monarchy has been updated, but I have managed to re-link it. And therefore, we will just have to wait and see, if it works!

Ironically however, I had created, the Web Link, for: The Official Web Site Of The British Monarchy, on Friday the 29th of March 2002, the day before, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, had passed away. And, my husband: Paul and I, had offered, our deepest sympathy to the Royal Family, in their hour of grief, especially as it has only been seven weeks since Her Royal Highness Princess Margaret died. A Royal era has now come to an end, and we will never see the like of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother again, who was a shining example to all of her Senior Citizens, and not to mention her Junior subjects who have paid their respects to her at Westminster Abbey and Windsor Castle, and all over the country, incidentally! Especially when she was a child Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother was known to hold funerals for all of the birds that had died in her family garden at Glamis Castle, even if they were just ordinary birds, as apposed to game birds and prized rare birds! Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother's family home: Glamis Castle was used as a hospital, during the First World War and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother was a Nursing volunteer, there. And years later, I found out in a book, which was dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, which stated, that the surviving survivors, that she had looked after at Glamis Castle, never ever forgot her kindness and warmth, towards them, at that terrible time. And there was the case of the little girl, she visited in Hospital who said: "Do you know that your Daughter is the Queen?!". And Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother's response to this was: "I know! It's thrilling, isn't it?!". And it was because of her down to Earth warmth and her sense of humour, that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, was known as the Nations Grandmother! And even though I set up the link to The Official Web Site Of The British Monarchy last week, I am now setting up the Web link as a tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, in the meantime, anyhow!

Now, I am not building my hopes up, where accessing the brand new Web Link, for The Official Web Site Of The British Monarchy, is concerned, at the moment, but I will definitely give it a go, this Friday! And I will endeavour to sign the Internet book of Condolence, on the Website, on behalf of Paul and myself, in the meantime, anyhow!

THE NEWS HUDDLINES

For those of you who are fans of the BBC Radio Two Comedy Show: The News Huddlines, which will not be broadcast again, on BBC Radio Two, until 2003, due to Roy Hudd's most recent undertaking of the part of the Undertaker: Archie Shuttleworth in Coronation Street. I have most recently come across the BBC's very own News Huddlines website! Hopefully, this should keep all fans of the shows appetites whetted, until a new series of the show is aired on BBC Radio Two, during the Spring of next year! As my husband and I, are fans of the News Huddlines ourselves, we have really missed hearing the Hallelujah chorus, which is played, whenever the Huddliners do a sketch, featuring Tony Blair! Incidentally however, the Hallelujah chorus has been played on the show, ever since Tony Blair was elected as the new Leader of the New Labour Party, during the Autumn of 1994! And this was because, most people thought that he was going to be the new saviour of the New Labour Party! And not to mention their send ups of his wife, Cherie Blair - "We're gonna have a Lorra Lorra Laughs Chuck!". And an all time favourite News Huddlines joke of ours, which we originally heard, during the Autumn of 1999, was when they sent up BBC1's new documentary series: Walking With Dinosaurs, which was turned into: Walking With Conservatives! An Extinct Species! Well, I sincerely hope, that it won't come to that, where the Conservative Party is concerned, anyhow! Seriously though, as far as I know, Tony Blair takes the News Huddlines jokes about himself and the New Labour Party, in the good spirit that it is intended, and Roy Hudd is a good friend of Tony Blair, anyway, and he even got him to write his jokes for him, at one time! And, the Former: Old Labour Party Leader: Neil Kinnock, had also, appeared, as a Guest, on the Twentieth Anniversary Edition, of The News Huddlines, because he is, actually, a Fan, of the Show, himself! And, one, of the first things, that he, had said, to Roy Hudd, had been: "Hello Boyo!".

In the meantime, I will have to check whether the link to The News Huddlines Website is working ok, anyhow. But for those of you who are interested, in the News Huddlines, then please go to: ?

(Look into a brand new Huddlines Website, at a later date! Marie Birch)

NUMBER 10, DOWNING STREET

For those of you, who are interested, in entering the doors of power, at No 10, Downing Street, where the Hallelujah Man: Tony Blair, the Prince Minister of Great Britain, used to live!

Seriously though, the No 10, Downing Street Website, contains a mountain of information, about British Prime Ministers, from the very first Prime Minister of Great Britain, to our current Prime Minister of Great Britain: David Cameron! The No 10, Downing Street Website, has also had a web page, all about Humphrey, the black and white cat, who had originally taken up residence, under the last Conservative Government! And the No 10, Downing Street Website, also contains speeches, the Prime Minister, has recently undertaken, and Cabinet Meeting information. But as I have not been, on the No 10, Downing Street Website, for quite some considerable time, I will have to see, what has recently, been updated, on the No 10, Downing Street Website, anyhow!

And for those of you, who are may be interested, in the No 10, Downing Street Website, then please go to:
