A REVIEW OF FUNKY BUNKER

BY MARIE BIRCH

With regard, to Craig Charles’: Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker.

Now, I did not see, every single Show, of Craig Charles’: Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker, at the time, myself, but I did see, one or two Shows, of Craig Charles’: Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker, just out of interest, at the very least! And I had been, quite impressed, but Chat Shows, have never really been my sort of thing, anyway, especially Late Night Chat Shows, but I had to admit, that it made quite a change, to see, a Late Night Chat Show Host, in a suit, at the time, because, whenever I have seen: Late Night Chat Shows, I am a little bit bored, of seeing, Late Night Chat Show Hosts, looking like, Complete and Utter Scruff bags! And Craig, had stated, at the Annual: Red Dwarf Dimension Jump 1997 Convention, that it had cost, about eight thousand, an Episode, to make, of his Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker, and that, there, had definitely, been, a possibility, of another Series, of his Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker, going into Production, at the time!

Unfortunately however, ITV1, had eventually decided, that they, had got, no future plans, to Produce, another Series of Craig Charles’: Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker, during the early Winter of 1997!

And Craig, had really loved the Characters, on his Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker: The Psychic: Doctor Destiny, And, Craig’s Publicist, who had, reviewed films, and Craig, had informed him, that he did not, have the time, to watch Films, even the 1979 Film: Quadrophenia! And, he had even been, in Elizabeth Taylor's Bedroom! Craig's Publicist of course! And, not Craig! And, there had also been: Yvonne The Hairdresser, who had been, a real Brummie, whom I remember, had been, in the process, of auditioning, for Craig Charles’: Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker’s: Exotic Birmingham Based Dancers: The Funki Feathers, at the time! Surprisingly however, one, of Craig Charles’: Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker’s: Exotic Birmingham Based Dancers, from The Funki Feathers, had also hailed, from Birmingham, originally! But that said, however, I really did feel, that one, of Craig Charles’: Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker’s: Exotic Birmingham Based Dancers, from The Funki Feathers Brummie accent, had not been, as nearly, as broad, as: Yvonne The Hairdresser’s Brummie accent, when all had been said and done! And, there had also been: The Man In Black, and I had really loved: Nana The Minder, doing her Pussy Galore song! And Craig, had also, had a Comedian, on each show, of Craig Charles’: Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker. And, I really did feel, that the Liverpudlian Comedian, on Craig Charles’: Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker, whom I believe Craig, had known, since his Schooldays, had been, very funny, indeed!

And Craig, had also interviewed, the Chat Show Host, whose Former: ITV1: Late Night: Zany Quiz Show: Bonkers, which quite ironically, had been, in the process, of being filmed, to a Live Studio Audience, in the Studio, right next door, to the Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker Set! And, the Chat Show Host, of the Former: ITV1: Late Night: Zany Quiz Show: Bonkers, had informed, Craig, that he had been, more than Welcome, to come along, and participate, in all, of the fun, at the time! I don't know whether Craig did actually participate, where the fun was concerned, on the Former: ITV1: Late Night: Zany Quiz Show: Bonkers, but I did take a look at the Former: ITV1: Late Night: Zany Quiz Show: Bonkers, on its, very first, Friday evening! It looked very good for a laugh, and I really liked the funny costumes, that the Contestants wore, especially the Gorilla costume! But it wasn't my sort of thing, really, but again, I would definitely recommend, the Former: ITV1: Late Night: Zany Quiz Show: Bonkers, for people, who really love, Zany Quiz Shows!

Now, I had also, remembered, that Craig, had also, promoted Manga, or Anime, on his Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker. For anyone, who is unfamiliar, about it, Manga, or Anime, is a Japanese Animated Picture Strip Film, but they are, not Cartoons, which are: Comedic, or Adventure Animation Films, which are definitely, aimed at, a much, younger audience! I had seen, some, of the Manga, or Anime, on the Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker, and for example, one story was about a young man, who was been seduced by an older and very experienced women, and even though, the feature only lasted a few minutes, it was rather raunchy, to say the very least! It isn't my sort of thing, but for anybody out there, who likes to see animation, which is a bit out of the ordinary, I would fully recommend it! There had been, a young man, in the audience, at the Red Dwarf Dimension Jump 1997 Convention, who had informed, Craig, that he liked: Manga, or Anime, especially as he, was half Japanese! And Craig's reply to this, had been: "Which half of you is Japanese?!". On each Show, Craig had a different: Rock Band, on every week, which the audience, could dance to! And Craig, had even interviewed, one Rock Band, which I understand, is quite unusual, these days, on Chat Shows! I had liked, one Rock Band, in particular, and they, had been, known, as: Jemson, and their style, was quite distinctive really, and their sound was very reminiscent of some, of the nineteen seventies Rock Bands, of their day! It was a real shame, that all, of the Rock Bands, were unsigned, but appearing, on the Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker, was a really good way, of attracting Record Producers, when it actually comes down to it, at the end of the day! The Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker, would usually start off with Craig, doing the odd piece from his: Live On Earth! Show, plus some new material, and he even did his George McGee Poem! I have referred, to that, in my Red Dwarf Dimension Jump 1995 Convention Review, which will, be appearing, on: Puzlebox: The Unofficial Red Dwarf Website, very soon! And, the Reference, for: Puzlebox: The Unofficial Red Dwarf Website, will be displayed, when the review, is on, there! Craig would also play some games, with the invited audience, which were quite amusing, and I really liked the game, where the two girls, got their heads shaved, because they got the answers to the questions right, instead of wrong! The German girl, Birgit Nakielski, who was unfortunate enough, to have her head, shaved, has got her very own: Web page, which I found, to be very interesting, indeed! And, I will explore, her Web page, at a later date! I think, that they were all, very brave, to have their heads, shaved! I know, that I just couldn't, have been, that brave enough, to have my photograph taken, with Craig! I take too much pride, with my hair! And there is something to be said, about having hair, and look what happened to poor Samson, when Delilah, got her hands, on his locks! I didn't see this particular game, but I have heard about it. Craig decided to put into practice, a game, he had made up, in his "Almanac Of Total Knowledge!". I guess, that it must have been a real laugh, when it was actually, put into practice! I will quote from The Almanac: How To Liven Up A Party: This involves, getting two couples, up on stage, in front of everybody, and showing them two very large industrial black bin-bags. These can be bought at any large, industrial strength, black-bin bag shop! The idea of the game is, that one couple is sealed in each bag, and then, they have to swop clothes, including underwear. The first couple to have completely swopped clothes, wins a prize. You then point out that, to make it a bit harder, they will all have to be blindfolded! As soon as they are blindfolded, you lead the two couples over to their sacks, which they don't realize, have been swopped for large CLEAR sacks! Then the fun actually begins! Don't forget the camcorders! So, there you have it: Funky Bunker!

A REVIEW OF WEAPONS OF MASS DISTRACTION

BY MARIE BIRCH

During the Spring of 2004, Craig had hosted, the Former: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Weapons of Mass Distraction, alongside, his co-presenter: Caroline (Corporal) Flack. Well-known, Guest Stars, on Craig’s: Former: 2004: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Weapons of Mass Distraction, had been, the Lead Singer, of the Garage, and Grime, and the Hip-hop Group: So Solid Crew: Michael Harvey, and Matt Goss, of the Former: late nineteen eighties, and early nineteen nineties: Band: Bros, and the renowned, Former: Page Three Girl: Model and Actress: Linda Lusardi. And, the Liverpudlian: Indie Rock Band: The Zutons, had also performed, their third single, from 2003, and their second single, from their: 2004: Debut Album: Who Killed...... The Zutons?: “You Will You Won’t”, on Craig’s: Former: 2004: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Weapons of Mass Distraction.

And, I had soon discovered, that Craig’s: Former: 2004: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Weapons of Mass Distraction, had been, very similar, indeed, in format, to his Former: 1997: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Funky Bunker, except, that it had, only ran, for half an hour, as apposed, to forty five minutes, or an hour. And, I had particularly liked, Caroline (Corporal) Flack, as his co-presenter, who has a very similar, presenting manner, to his former: BBC2 Robot Wars: co-presenter, Phillipa Forrester. But that said, however, I am afraid, that I really, had not, liked, Craig’s brand new image, via his brand new: Afro Growth of hair, and not, to mention, that dreadful beard! I do apologise for that, Craig, especially, as you had needed, that brand new image, of yours, for your brand new film: The Dealer. But that said, however, I am afraid, that I really, did feel, that Craig’s brand new image, via his brand new: Afro Growth of hair, and not, to mention, that dreadful beard!, had not, really suited, him, on a long term basis, when all had been said and done! But that, is just my opinion, that is all! And that, had not, stopped me, from enjoying, your brand new: 2004: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Weapons of Mass Distraction, anyhow! And, I had particularly liked, Craig’s, wide selection, of Guest Stars, on his Former: 2004: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Weapons of Mass Distraction, such as, the Lead Singer, of the Garage, and Grime, and the Hip-hop Group: So Solid Crew: Michael Harvey, and Matt Goss, of the former: late nineteen eighties, and early nineteen nineties: Band: Bros, and the renowned, former: Page Three Girl: Model and Actress: Linda Lusardi. And, the Liverpudlian: Indie Rock Band: The Zutons, had also performed, their third single, from 2003, and their second single, from their: 2004: Debut Album: Who Killed...... The Zutons?: “You Will You Won’t” (which I had thought, had been, really good, by the way! And, it definitely, proves, that there, is still, a great deal, of good music, out there, if you really, look out, for it, these days!), on Craig’s: Former: 2004: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Weapons of Mass Distraction. And, I had particularly liked, Craig’s joke, about the approved: Car Park for Lovers, in Italy, which, had been run, by Car Park Attendant: Stan Collymore! (Go into a bit more detail, about that, at a later date! Marie Birch) But that said, however, I had particularly found, Craig’s comments, via his: “Up The Bum” jokes, which seem, to be used, at Dinner Parties, nowadays! And that, is a subject, which I really do feel, is very distressing, indeed! And, that, is also, a subject, which I really do feel, is of, a very offensive, and of, a very deeply humiliating, and of, a very distasteful, nature, indeed! And therefore, I really, did feel, that it had made, him look, rather arrogant, and very aggressive, indeed, with regard, to where, his line, of Stand up, where that part, of his Former: 2004: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Weapons of Mass Distraction, had been concerned, at the time, anyhow! But that said, however, Craig’s: Former: 2004: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Weapons of Mass Distraction, had been aired, way after the Watershed, which had been, fair enough, for those, of you, who can, quite easily, tackle and handle, a really, crude and distasteful, subject, such as that, when all had been said and done! But that, had not, been for me, I am afraid! And, I really am, very Sorry, about the way, that I feel, about that, Craig! But that said, however, I really do feel, that everybody, is entitled, to their opinions, in this day and age, when it actually comes down to it, at the end of the day! But other, than that, however, I had soon discovered, that Craig’s: Former: 2004: ITV1: Late Night Chat Show: Weapons of Mass Distraction, had been, really great, Late Night Viewing, for a Late Night Chat Show, of that calibre, at the time, when all had been said and done!
